Ronald E. Scherer

Ronald Scherer is the Chairman and CEO of Intelligent Perimeter Systems, Inc. (IPS), a U.S.-based developer and integrator of industrial and homeland security products and services.  In his role, Mr. Scherer oversees all executive leadership and strategic growth and operations functions, including capital acquisition, strategic planning, new business development, customer relationship management, and company teaming agreements.  Mr. Scherer was also the company’s founder and original investor in 2004.

For over two decades, Mr. Scherer has founded and managed private businesses, including companies in the distribution, retail, real estate, and healthcare industries.

Prior to founding IPS, Mr. Scherer founded successful ventures including National Real Estate Inc., an Ohio-based commercial real-estate management company and Harbor Park Market, a new-to-the-industry Michigan-based hyper-convenience store.

Mr. Scherer’s leadership and experience in the traffic and security industries began in 1986, when he acquired a regional traffic sign and signal manufacturer, which was later renamed National Sign & Signal, Inc.  National Sign & Signal has been a leader in the traffic control and management industries for nearly 40 years.

Mr. Scherer currently lives in Dublin, Ohio, with his wife Julie.  He also has 13 grandchildren.
