Anthony Girard

Anthony Girard is the President and COO of IPS International, the UK-based subsidiary of IPS. Mr. Girard overseas the division, including all key sales and operations functions. Prior to joining IPS, Mr. Girard was the Managing Director of APT Security Systems, Inc., a leading UK-based manufacturer and installer of security and traffic management systems.

While at APT, Mr. Girard was responsible for all strategic and operations functions and had full P&L accountability, including responsibility for a multi-disciplinary staff of 55 employees. Additionally, Mr. Girard oversaw relationships with new and existing customers in the government, retail, construction and security sectors.

Prior to APT, Mr. Girard was the Managing Director of Gunnebo Physical Security UK, a UK subsidiary of Gunnebo Security. While at Gunnebo, Mr. Girard was responsible for all aspects of the business, including P&L, selling, and installation services for the UK’s £3.0M operation.

Prior to joining Gunnebo, Mr. Girard was Sales and Marketing Director for Baxall Security. In this role he managed sales and marketing operations for all of Baxall’s products worldwide, with focus on markets in the UK, United States, China and Western Europe. While at Baxall, Mr. Girard oversaw sales of £17M and managed a staff of 30 employees.

Prior to his experience in the security industry, Mr. Girard had a variety of leadership positions with organizations including AEI Cables, Schlumberger, Hewlett Packard and the UK’s Ministry of Defense.

In addition to his corporate experience, Mr. Girard has a number of academic and professional qualifications, including a BSc Hons degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and O level certificates in Advanced Math, Physics and Chemistry, English, History, Geography and Technical Drawing.

Additionally, Mr. Girard is a Member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, a Member of the Institute of Directors, and a Chartered Civil Engineer.

Mr. Girard enjoys golf, hiking, and music and is fluent in French.
